How naive do you think we are?
OK, Here is the simplest way to explain it. The issues in the presidential race have been debated ad nauseum. The candidates have not changed their positions since this long boring campaign began in November 2006. The questions, past the issues, all relate to character, leadership and judgement.Â
In the character department, John McCain is a hothead. Hillary Clinton is also a hothead in addition to being liar. Barack Obama is simply a liar.
In the leadership department, all are lacking. I repeat, all are lacking. The Senate, and consequently, the Senators all duck tough issues and leave a nuanced message. They are the opposite of quick decisions. McCain flip flops, Clinton says one thing and does another, and Obama has no executive experience and no relevant experience that shows he could lead the US.
In the judgement department, McCain leads the pack, although I do not agree with or want him to be president.
Clinton thought you would beleive the Bosnia sniper story and the one about she just found the Rose law firm billing records  in her won apartment, after having gone missing for three years. She believes that oil prices are not set as a global commodity. She believes that gasoline prices in the US are not set by market forces. She believes that a 9% profit margin, or larger, is a windfall. She has stated that she will ‘take’ that profit and investigate oils companies for price fixing. It is clear that she does not undestand economics.
Obama is a peice of work. His judgement is so flawed that in 20 years he could not see what Oprah Winfrey saw in two years. Oprah joined and attended Trinity, and left within two years. The media is trying to say that he was not in church that day. One day. His pastor only spoke like that on one day, That is what you are expected to believe. One week Obama says ”I can no more disown Rev Wright than I can my white grandmother”. The next week he had just heard about these comments. The week after that he disowned the pastor. Common sense suggests you can choose you pastor, not your relatives. Oprah clearly did.
Additionally, Obama beleives that taxes are about fairness not government revenues. He seemed shocked that 100,000,000 people own stock directly and indirectly. An increase of the capital gains tax is a tax increase on 100,000,000 people. When asked about the fact that as capital gains tax rates are reduced, government revenues increase. he stated that under Bill Clinton the capital gains rate was 28% and all was well. When it was pointed out that Bill Clinton reduced the rate to 20% and government revenues increased, Obama stated that it was not about government revenues it was about fairness!!!!!Â
I want a president that knows how to maximize revenues and minimize spending, not the other way around. Taxes are not about fairness, they are about the common goodÂ
