America, votes in November are really coming down to a choice between leaders who offer solutions and hope vs those who peddle division and encourage hatred. Who would have thought that the tactics of Adolph Hitler and Joseph Goebbels would be alive and well under the Repubican banner in the year 2010?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Let’s see, the tactics of Nazi’s, you mean like attempting to whip up the population into a nationalistic furor against the evil insurance companies on a claim denial rate of 4%?

Or putting Union thugs at town halls to stifle the citizens right to redress a grievance and intimidate them?

Or could it be the celebrations of a movie that portrayed the assassination of George W Bush, a movie so revered that it won awards? With the comment by the film maker,”Who thought people would be upset about a film that portrays assassinating President Bush?”

What about the big lie, the premise, that the whole health care delivery system in the US is broken. With 75-85%(depending on which poll) of the people liking how it works for them, Democrats decided that the whole thing has to change, the lie is that it is broken. For the 15-25% unhappy people we are going to allow the government to cause the destruction of an industry, which facilitates the take over?

Goebbels would be proud of the lies that have been accepted as truths. It does help having a compliant media. The best one is that this law strengthens insurance companies. That one is hilarious.

This is not complicated, there is common sense involved. Don’t get lost here. Under this law, healthy people will have the option to pay a ‘fine’ or tax, since the IRS is going to enforce this, that is way less than an insurance policy. Under this law, people can buy a policy the day they need it, with no pre-existing conditions taken into consideration, what else can you conclude?

Now here’s the common sense part. The fine is supposed to compel you to purchase a health policy. OK, then why is the fine way less than a policy? Why would any of you liberals believe that people would pay three times the fine/tax instead of paying the fine/tax.

That is anti-logic. There is no penalty for paying the fine/tax for 10 years, and then buying ‘insurance’ the day your doctor diagnoses you with cancer. Only an idiot would buy a policy before they need it. Combine that with no maximum benefit, and mandated cost structures, how does this strengthen these companies again?

Another good tactic is violence, since you brought it up. Do you mean violence like when lefties trash cities, as well? Like protests in Seattle, DC, Copenhagen, Milan, and Prague. Look at the anti-war riots in the sixties.

What about the death threats Stupak and others received when he was against the Senate takeover bill for all those long months? That was lefty violence and threats. Not more than a tiny peep about that in the media.

Tyranny is here.

This comes from Speaker Pelosi’s speech today before the Legislative Conference for National Association of Counties. The boldface is mine:

“You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting.

“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.”

March 8 – President Obama on the campaign trail

The president hit the campaign trail because the government takeover of the health care system is at stake.

The government models of insurance – medicare, medicaid, and the VA dept are doing so well, right?

But now is the time to have the government run our health care system, they know better.

I don’t know why there has to be villains here. Insurance companies have a 3.5% profit margin. The most important fact I will discuss.

More sucky facts about insurance companies.

1. Insurance is one of the most heavily regulated industries.

2. Insurance companies are the best documented as to costs and expenses.

3. Insurance companies provide a product for a fee. They do not supply a constitutionally endowed right.

Now, here is the really sucky part for the brainwashed. I am going to stay out of the emotional realm and stick with the factual.

This might seem complicated, but companies, to survive, need to make a profit to survive. A small profit of 3.5% is enough to keep these companies in business, but most companies make a much higher profit.

Aside from demonizing a 3.5% profit margin as immoral and obscene, why is it that if premiums have been going up for 10 years, as President Obama claims, then why haven’t the profits?

I am pretty sure the president has no idea how an actual business works. If your profit remains the same but the premiums that you charge go up, then, and I know this a hard concept, it is likely the costs went up.

So if the costs go up, and the profit remains the same, how can the ‘problem’ be the insurance companies?

Does defensive medicine play a part?

Do lawyers fishing for settlements play a part?

Does malpractice insurance play a part.

Does unhealthy lifestyles of the American people play a part?

How much of the medical costs really come down to the ‘uninsured’?

Has there been an analysis? NO. It is the insurance companies, so claim the Democrats.

Obama wants the house to pass the senate bill. Nancy Pelosi will whip the vote on a lie. The lie is that the ‘fixes’ will be forthcoming to placate the liberal house Democrats and the moderate house Democrats.

The White House had two separate meetings, one with liberals and one with moderates. Why separate meetings? Why segregate the liberals in the morning, and then moderates in the afternoon.

Why is that?

Hmm… I am betting that the ‘fixes’ promised to both were different.

Which means there is no intention of any fixes anytime soon. The President and Nancy Pelosi are lying to the house Democrats. Polling shows that health care needs to be dropped from the public awareness as soon as possible.

When the President says that it is not politics driving this, why have a March 18th deadline?
Why not leave enough time for reconciliation?

Oh, you didn’t realize that reconciliation is not possible. CBO needs to score a reconciled bill (House amending senate bill or reconciling separate house and senate bills). March 18th would not be possible.
I am sure the President and his compliant media just forgot to mention this by accident.

The President and Speaker Pelosi are lying to house members to get them to accept the Senate bill with no amendments. That is the only way it can get to Obama’s desk by March 18th.

The lie is that fixes will be allowed later. House Democrats are being lied to as we type. There will be no fixes unless Democrats gain seats in the next election, highly unlikely given the fact that Democrats are ignoring the voters right now.

Then, if any, the fixes will be the liberal fixes that the President and Speaker Pelosi promised the liberal Democrats, they plan on screwing the moderates no matter what.

The President does not seem to care about whether house Democrats win re-election.

If the house passes the senate bill, that will be it. Done! Final! No more Debate! The President rolls out a dog of a lwa that screws most of us and kills private insurance companies.

Oh, you did not understand how it kills insurance companies?

Democrats got smart after the house bill, that one actually made private insurance illegal after 5 years. The senate bill simply kills private insurance, but only after premiums go up, due to people willing to pay the fines on the uninsured outlined in the law that cost way less than a health insurance policy, thus making sure the customer base of private companies drops. Fines for individuals based on income levels, and per employee fines for businesses will grow government coffers and it is doubtful that these fines will pay for health care, as the language of the bill does not specify whether it pays as premiums or directly to health care providers.

I am surprised that house Democrats did not see the ruse when separate meetings were called for liberals and moderates.

It might just be the case that the reason politicians think we, the voters, are stupid
due to projection. The pablum sounds good to themselves, so they we will believe it.

Today’s big lie from Obama:

Obama revived his tired criticism of Washington culture. He is Washington. He is political. He was projecting.
